Sculptor and designer Julian Sainsbury has created a range of exquisite kitchen equipment and table furniture, including mortars and pestles made from a variety of materials, salt and pepper pots, candlesticks and porcelain lipped mixing bowls. Influenced by designs from around the world, and particularly India where he spent four months working with traditional stone carvers, Julian has developed an understanding of the properties of different materials and has used and combined them in original ways.
